The full release info.

We'd like to thank each and every user of Sphinx, for without you Sphinx would not be possible.

A few side notes:

Starting with Sphinx 1.1.1, we will no longer support upgrades from E1/E2, or from Sphinx 1.0 directly with the package. Users who wish to upgrade at that time may install Sphinx 1.1, and upgrade from there.

Starting with Sphinx 1.1.1, we will be back to our short and sweet update packages, and all upgrades will be done through the package manager. Full installations will not change.

As always, please report bugs to the tracker, and problems in general to the forums.

Enjoy! Wink

Great to hear.

I'll update my test site tonight.

Also looking at updating my main site as well from E2, I'm also going to move hosting companies so this would be a good time to do it I guess.

Absolutely. Wink

Changing hosts is never fun. Well, unless its one cPanel host to another, and then it really isn't bad as long as both hosts are up to date on their releases.

My current host uses vDeck, so it is one of my checks while searching.

Current site back up is around 1.36GB ok to download but my uploads speed is only 384kb.

Is there a download link for the gold 1.1? I couldn't see one before when I had a look.

It's on the download page as always, V.

What you "could" do with that backup, if your new host gives you a shell account, is leave the backup on your webserver (vice downloading it, if that's possible), and then use wget from the shell on your new account, and get it that way.

Yeah thought about that option to. Not all host give you shell access but again been looking for that as well.

Looks like there is some trouble even creating the backup at the moment. Been having a lot of trouble with these guys recently, they've been great for the past 5 years.

Huh?

Download - > Sphinx 1.1 -> Official 1.1 Releases

Ends up with Sphinx 1.1.

Which is the latest and greatest.

Is the description confusing, perhaps?

Yeap.

Sphinx 1.1 » Released: (May, 5 2007)

Maybe change the date and or the heading to Sphinx 1.1 gold?

Have to agree with werner, I went looking and could only see the 1.1 with a May date so I didn't bother to down load the file and was going to ask where the gold version was as well.
